27 Year Epileptic Starts his Own Organization

Launched to raise awareness about Epilepsy & increase
funding for research to find a cure.

New York, NY (October 2, 2017) — National nonprofit A Hero for Epileptics has officially launched by Bruno Fiacco, Founder, and his wife, Michelle Fiacco, Co-Founder. Bruno was diagnosed with epilepsy at birth and struggles with seizures everyday.

A Hero for Epileptics was created to help both those also living with the debilitating effects of seizures as well as remove the stigma of what it really means to live with this disorder daily to those who may be unaware of these quiet wars those with epilepsy fight.

“I want to better the lives of all epileptics, which is something we haven’t seen to this day”, says Founder, Bruno Fiacco. “We have to make a change and I plan on doing that using this organization as a platform.”

There are 2.9 million epileptics in the United States. 150,000 people of all ages are diagnosed every year and 1 in 26 people will be diagnosed with Epilepsy in their lifetime.

“We have to make people aware of how serious epilepsy is and the struggles that these warriors overcome daily just to make it to the next day.” Says Co-Founder Michelle Fiacco. “There are more than twice as many people with epilepsy in the US as the number of people with Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy and Cystic Fibrosis combined.”
